past summer...and doing a number of Wolff
carbon pencil sketches...

My wife and I went on a whalewatch boat ride off Provincetown, Cape Cod. Locals said it was the best season for whales in years. We must have seen 60 or more.

Including one that breached just yards from the boat, like the one in your painting. How did you get your's to freeze like that so you could paint him? :)

Whale study people don't know why they breach like that. Ridding themselves of parasites? Showing off for the babes? They don't know.
