Twenty years instudio building reputation for wildlife art in a hyper-realistic manner led to a near decade's exodus to painting on-location outdoors. The result has been a loosening of my style & joyous discovery of celebrating life thru paint. Of late, I've had my urges to paint some wildlife once again, the challenge to treat the subject with that same joy and simplicity I've found in the landscape- namely...impressions "simply stated!"

Common Goldeneye- Oil painting
Started this one today...an 8"x 10" oil...and like the Goose painting below, I'll be making a 2-1/2 minute short video on its making start to finish. I'll post that here as this one gets finished.
I'm painting on MFD board...sealed with polycrylic, gesso and pumice...
